Gold Coast Highway Multiple Dwelling Development
About:
Modus was commissioned to provide detailed traffic engineering input for the car parking arrangement of a Multiple Dwelling development (40 residential units) accommodating 74 parking spaces for residents and visitors.
Challenges:
The key challenges Modus was engaged to resolve included the provision for Acceptable Outcome (AO) compliant car parking whilst ensuring ensure a safe and efficient vehicle manouvreability and circulation. This was particularly difficult to achieve given the site constraints in addition to the reduced geometry imposed by the building plant equipment.
Solutions:
In response to these key challenges, the Modus project team members were able to apply their expertise and profound knowledge of the Australian Standards to achieve a safe parking arrangement for the site. This involved undertaking a detailed parking design and provisions analysis, as well as swept path assessment.
